Make Sure the Heaters in your Houston Home are Safe with Safety Inspections by ABC

Troubleshooting your Central Heating System Years ago, most Houston homes relied on inefficient baseboards for heat - a spotty, inefficient method at best that left homes feeling drafty and cold. Today, Central Heating Systems wind a web of ventilation ducts throughout the house to distribute heat evenly, and allow homeowners to control heat from a wall mounted digital thermostat. A home's Central Heating System, just like a car, needs regular maintenance and repairs to keep performing at top efficiency. Here are a couple of quick tips, and if you come across a need for any type of repairs give us a call! Meet Your Central Heating System 1. If you have a heat pump or furnace, you likely have a ducted air system, which is the most common type of central heating. In a forced air duct system, a blower pushes warm air through the system and out the vents to warm rooms in your house. A gravity furnace doesn't use blowers; instead, convection currents move air throughout your home. Change Furnace Filters Annually 2. Or more frequently if you have pets or use air conditioning in the summertime. If you notice that the central heating system doesn't work as well as it once did, it could be because it's having trouble pushing warm air through a dirty filter. Clear Obstructions Away from Vents for Air flow 3. Inside the house, that means furniture. Outside, look for leaves and debris blocking the outside vent. Remember to keep cold-air return vents, which are not connected to the ...

Rheem Gas Pack RTU in Counter Strike Game

There are some HVAC units rendered in this video game. It's funny when I recognize them. One of the units in this game is obviously a Rheem/RUUD Gas Pack. The funny thing is the person who made the 3D model copied a photo of one but didn't understand them. He TWO condener fans on top, so there is one over the burner section, HA HA! On the back side of the unit is a mirror of the front. And some of them like this one have THREE disconnects on each unit! HA HA! It was still fun to recognize a familiar looking unit.

HVAC heat does not ignite intermittently

Date: 2011-12-07 Re.: HVAC heat does not ignite intermittently Hardware Info: HVAC Heater uses natural gas and it's 6 years old. Thermostat: White Rodgers 1F7X. It's new (one month old). Symptom: This heater intermittently does not start up. For example, the temp is set to 68F and running for a half day without any problem meaning when the temp drops, the thermostat clicks and heat starts up. Before I go to bed, the temp is set to 68F and the current temp is 68F. Next morning, the temp is set to 68F but the current temp shows 64F. If the unit was working correctly, the current temp should be 68F. A HVAC technician came twice to take a look at this problem but for the both times the unit started up fine so he could not reproduce the symptom. As a result he could not identify the problem. Meanwhile the problem was occurring. I am not familiar with HVAC but I videotaped the symptom hoping it might help the technician to identify the problem to repair properly. In the video: 1) A day before, the thermostat temp was set to 68F (Fan: Auto; System: Heat) and it was working fine (maintaining 68F). 2) On next morning, the temp was still set to 68F but the current temp dropped to 66F meaning the unit did not start up and currently unit is not running. 3) First, I decreased the temp below 66F to make thermostat a click noise (sending signal to the unit to stop). Then I increased the temp to 68F. It clicks again (sending signal to the unit to start up). 4) Outside unit started ...
